Taking Action on Child Obesity

World Health Organization (WHO) research determined that globally child obesity rates have continued to rise. In the last 40+ years, school age children and adolescent obesity rates have increased 10-fold from 11 to 124 million fold (2016 estimates). Another research finding published in 2017 disclosed that over 38 million children under the age of 5 years are either overweight or obese.
