"OSATO" Movie Premiere
According to Antislavery.org, “Modern Slavery is the severe exploitation of people for personal or commercial gain. Victims are deceived or coerced into a situation which they cannot leave.” The latter is the case of Osato in the Feature film, “Osato,” by GEP Studios, which is soon to be released for public broadcast. Unfortunately, the story of Osato is by no means a one-off story. It is estimated that a “…minimum of 21 million people…” * are living in slavery today.
The SitiTalkTV for SitiTalkBlog team was at the Premier of the new Feature “Osato”, which tells the horrendous story of a young Nigerian girl, who was trafficked from her homeland to the Republic of Ireland. Her terrifying journey, which, thanks to the Grace of GOD, she survived, tells us , more than ever, how important it is for us all to be yet more vigilant, in paying attention to what happens around us.
